Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Set the app theme to “Match system”
  • Use the app while the system is in dark mode
  • Close the app
  • Change the system theme (e.g., to light mode)
  • Reopen the app

What happens?:
The top navigation/header area appears in light mode while the article content remains in dark mode, or vice versa.

When triggered, this affects all articles and the Settings page.

The Discover page is not affected.

Articles opened from Discover and subsequent linked/search articles are not affected.

Issue is intermittent but reproducible.

User confirmed this still happens on version 7.9.1.5957 (iOS 26.3).

What should have happened instead?:
All UI components should consistently respect the selected theme.

When “Match system” is enabled, the entire interface should switch fully between light and dark modes without partial mismatches.
