Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Visit mobile site
  • Edit a page to create a temporary account

What happens?:

Temporary icon does not display

@Jdlrobson-WMF Why do you think "Temporary icon should display" should have happened instead? I don't see the need or benefit on the icon itself at this stage of the user journey.

+1 to Volker's comment; is this needed? Would be nice to avoid more differentiation between regular and temp UIs than necessary

It's an indicator that the user is logged-in as a temporary account. It seems to me better to have this, given that you might otherwise assume you're logged-in via your permanent account.

My only motivation here for raising the bug was consistency with Vector 2022 which uses this icon

Got it, thanks @kostajh and @Jdlrobson-WMF. I also wrote my comment before seeing that the patch has been merged - since it's already done and makes the Vector and Minerva experiences consistent, I'm good with it.
