Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG REPORT

Description

What is the problem?

When visiting Special:EditWatchlist, you see a flash of a red "Remove pages" button (used when user does not have JS) which is quickly replaced by the three grey buttons (used when you have JS).

Environment

Browser: Firefox 140. Chromium 145.
Wiki(s): Local docker MediaWiki 1.46.0-alpha (5abd606) 07:34, 13 March 2026.

We updated the 'remove' button to be styled as destructive because without JS it immediately removes pages from the watchlist. We could remove the red, because probably more people will be annoyed by the flash than will be annoyed by the lack of visual warning of the immediate removal (considering there's not been any warning before now, that's not too bad, I think).

I see we have removed the red destructive styling from the Remove pages button without JS.
