Z101 and Z104 now result in an error causing temporary failure of most Abstract Wikipedia content
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Presumably v2 related: compositions calling Z101 and Z104 now fail. I’m working through them to sort them out, but there’s nothing I can do about Types that specify this function as the validator.

Just for information. Will change to Bug report with more information if any bad behaviour seems related.

Presumably other validators too?

Report of downstream disruption

It seems to me that integration testing should have identified that most AW content would start breaking. For both performance and resilience, we should urgently consider the site’s critical dependency on Z14310 and Z13318 and (probably) replace the combination with a built-in, possibly folding in a more efficient equivalent of Z14294, which does not scale well.

Re-classifying as Bug report.
