Drop cusi_case, cusi_signal, and cusi_user tables from wikis where they are unused
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Summary

The CheckUser-SuggestedInvestigations tables are not needed on wikis where the tool is not enabled

Technical details

  • The following wikis which are not listed in checkuser-suggested-investigations.dblist have the cusi_case, cusi_user, and cusi_signal tables:
abstractwiki
arbcom_plwiki
fawiki
idwiki
jawiki
kaiwiki
kajwiki
minwikisource
mswikiquote
pcmwikiquote
pplwiki
ptwiki
thwikimedia
tokwiki
trwiki
urwikisource
zhwiki
  • These wikis do not have the tool enabled and so the tables are empty and unused. Therefore, they can safely be dropped. Some of these wikis are new wikis, where it seems the database tables get created even if the feature is not enabled. The other wikis had the tables intentionally created, but plans changed so we don't need the tables there now

Schema change template

  1. ALTERs to run: DROP TABLE cusi_case; DROP TABLE cusi_signal; DROP TABLE cusi_user;
  2. Where to run those changes: See above for the list, all tables are on the extension1 cluster
  3. When to run those changes: When DBA has time
  4. If the schema change is backwards compatible: No, but on these wikis the tables are unused so it should cause no problems
  5. If the schema change has been tested already on some of the test/beta wikis: N/A
  6. If the data should be made available on the labs replicas and/or dumps: N/A
