Support article guidance entry points on both mobile and desktop views

Description

As part of Article Guidance (T396029), a new workflow for article creation will be exposed to users in an experiment on a set of pilot wikis.

Although our main success criteria for the experiment is based on junior editors on mobile (T414503), we don't want to restrict the exposure of the feature exclusively to that group. Exposing the feature more broadly allows comparing results and getting better context.

Currently, tapping on red links on the test instance only leads to the Article Guidance workflow when the user is using the mobile view. This ticket proposes to provide access to all users on desktop and mobile.

Pginer-WMF triaged this task as Medium priority.

@Pginer-WMF The UI was designed for mobile. It was fixed up on desktop but it still looks very mobile. Do you want to rework it before opening it up to desktop users?

Users will have access to the feature through the entry points in the context of an experiment. The current state with the basic responsive adjustments seems good enough to learn from desktop users for the experiment. We can consider some additional polishing, especially on aspects that can add noise to the results.

Pginer-WMF moved this task from Design Signoff to Product Signoff on the LPL Hypothesis board.

On desktop, clicking on the red links listed in the test instance now leads to the Article Guidance worklfow.
