Background

Product analytics has asked us to consolidate the per-experiment custom streams created by Reader Experience and Reader Growth into a single new stream, mediawiki_product_metrics.reader_experiments. Reader Experience can create this stream as part of our account creation CTA A/B test, then both reader teams can gradually remove the other custom streams as existing experiments wind down, and use the new stream moving forward.

Technical requirements

• Review the following streams and their contextual attributes:
  • • mediawiki.product_metrics.reading_list
    • mediawiki.product_metrics.reader_retention_logged_in
    • mediawiki.product_metrics.readerexperiments_imagebrowsing
    • mediawiki.product_metrics.readerexperiments_stickyheaders
    • Any others that have been added by RE or RG in the meantime
  • Create the new stream and add all necessary contextual attributes

Acceptance criteria

• A new stream is available for reader teams with all necessary contextual attributes
• Reader teams are informed to start using the new stream for new experiments and to remove the old streams as existing experiments wind down
