Yape payment method in Peru

Description

Direct Yape – behaves as a native e-wallet: user pays in their Yape app with an in-session, real-time confirmation, and the option to tokenize for recurring/one-click in the future.

We would like to build direct connection to Yape. Currently, it is via PagoEfectivo. Yape via PagoEfectivo – user chooses PagoEfectivo, receives a CIP ticket that can be paid later via cash, bank transfer or e-wallets (including Yape), up to 5 days to complete; confirmation is not instant and depends on when/where they pay.

Recommendation for Wiki: Use direct Yape as the main Yape option for fast, high-conversion online payments, and keep PagoEfectivo as a secondary “pay-later / cash / bank transfer” rail for users who don’t want to pay in-session.
