Context

We want to ship the Fedearted Values feature to early adopters after the 28th of April. It will be shipped as an Alpha release without being merged into Wikibase Core. Instead, it will be a patch that is bundled into a Docker image and can be pulled by tag (WIP). Early adopters – Wikibase admins – who are willing to use this early version of Federated Values need dedicated information and guidance to understand the installation process, functionality, dependencies, and risks.

Requirements

• Ensure clear communication in Docker about versioning and experimental release status
• Documentation about Federated Values functionalities and experimental release status
• Documentation with installation instructions
• Announcement to selected community members
