Hi. A few days ago was published that the browser limits for global API requests are changed from a number per hour to a number per minute. This allows to solve the majority of the problems created by the new limits in one simple step: upload the Live Updates timeout from 7.5 seconds to one minute. More work should be done, like disallowing the internal refresh after less then a minute, but this can be done later after discussion. The first step of increasing timeout was already discussed in the past, and it can help a lot now. Being T417779: rest gateway: enforce rate limits (stage two) due date at April 30, 01:00, this task should be resolved until April 27 evening, before the next branch cut. I hope there will be enough time.
