As part of the Article Guidance work (T396029), communities can define guidance to assist with the creation of specific types of articles. As part of this process, users can manually select the type of article (T415483), and an option to request more types is provided (T418408). This option leads users to the project talk page with a talk page message title pre-filled.
Currently, the talk page message title is "Couldn't find a matching article type". This generic title does not include useful context information that may be helpful as the tool gets available in more wikis.
This task proposes to consider updating the pre-filled title with the article title and the wiki.
The title could follow a format like Couldn't find a matching article type when creating article "<title>" on <project>. For example: > Couldn't find a matching article type when creating article "Mattar paneer" on simplewiki
In addition, we may want to include the signature markup at the end — ~~~~`. Currently, not doing so resulted in unsigned comments that result in the Talk page UI not showing the "Reply" button.
The proposed format is along the lines of a similar message that is used when requesting support for specific Wikidata items not supported yet (T421274).
