As per Leif's note on the related MatterMost POLL, we have decided on Installer as the name for this feature. The larger provision of the implementation which may warrant something like Assistant (et al) naming is for now left open as there is no user-facing functionality from the current implementation which exceeds the scope of installation.

There are a couple of other naming directions that underly and ground this choice, and which I think make things much clearer. So, this feature becomes:

Wikibase Suite Installer
and not Wikibase Suite Deploy Installer

An important change here to note is the settling on Wikibase Suite (WBS) as the canonical base name for what to date has been usually been called Wikibase Suite Deploy. The updates to documentation which are current being drafted will reflect this change throughout. So far in making those changes this is feeling good and more clarifying than confusing.

So Wikibase Suite without any further qualification implies the Docker Compose based deployment configuration and images it orchestrates. It obviously is also our team name and the base base name for all of our current products in that line.

Our Docker image products individually will continue to be referenced by any of the following valid canonical names:

The use of WBS is allowed in our docs as long as the first mention of Wikibase Suite is noted as Wikibase Suite (WBS). This pattern will also be reflected in the doc updates. Additionally, there will be a small Glossary document in the documentation updates which should make these things more clear going forward.

All of the above will be reflected in the upcoming documentation update PR and related ticket. If anyone has further questions or concerns regarding any of the above they can be addressed there before anything is merged and announced publicly.
