Background / Description

Picture of the Day from Commons surfaces images from Wikimedia Commons, selected daily by community consensus across the platform. Unlike Today's Featured Picture which is language wiki specific, this module draws from the broader Wikimedia Commons community and is available regardless of the user's selected language. It celebrates the visual side of the Wikimedia movement and gives readers a moment of discovery beyond text-based articles.

User Story

As a reader browsing the Community feed, I want to see the picture of the day from Wikimedia Commons, so that I can appreciate and share outstanding images from the Wikimedia movement.

Requirements

• The module should display the title "Picture of the day" with the subtitle "Daily images on Wikimedia Commons, selected by volunteer contributors"
• The module should display the image at full card width with a caption showing the image title, and location/credit below the image
• A share icon should also be accessible directly on the card. From this option, users can share or download the image
• The three dot more menu should be present on the module per the shared menu behavior
• Content should be sourced from Wikimedia Commons and should appear regardless of the user's selected language wiki
• Tapping on the image opens it in gallery view
• User should be able to access full metadata of the image (through existing gallery view)
• The POTD Widget should continue to open up Picture of the Day in gallery view as before

Things remaining todo:

UI needs to be fine-tuned. Ensure UI fits our patterns (WMFFont, WMFLocalizedString, etc), lays out properly on multiple devices sizes + iPad, lays out well on rotation. Theming works. Voice Over works.

Ensure we are displaying a decently-sized image, we may consider translating over to a different size via WMFChangeImageSourceURLSizePrefix. You can reference how the old POTD url worked. The image shouldn't be so huge that it takes forever to load, but not so small that it's blurry on various device sizes.

Also, this is a great opportunity to create a new face-detection (or salient object detecting T229534: iOS13 [Feature] - Look into new image saliency API for better cropping) component for image views. Otherwise, faces might not be centered on this with SwiftUI.

Any additional data needed (location/credit) should already be returned in the response object from the data controller's fetchCommunity method.
