Event Timeline
As I mentioned in T427479#11975130 we probably want to have separate tools for production and development. We can use wikispeech-sdc for either (probably production given the name) and create one more tool.
We decided in just keeping the Wikispeech-sdc as we have now for testing purposes, and then when we have enough for others to view the tool we can create another tool. Though maybe we should rename this existing tool to someting like: Wikispeech-sdc-test?
Unfortunately, I am still waiting for approval to become a toolforge member, otherwise I could have started to test to deploy it, mentioned in T427909
I don't think there's a way for us to rename the tool. We can delete it and create a new one which would be practically the same since we haven't done anything with it yet.
You're right that it would be best to have "test" in the name to make it clear if someone stumbles upon it. I don't remember if we actually discussed the name. I think I may just have created one because I wasn't sure if that would be a process that needed approval. Should we stick with what we have? We could also call it "speech-data-collector". It's a bit longer, but makes it more clear what it is without having to know the abbreviation (which I think was confusing internally too 😅). I think the main thing is that it's a decent URL.
In that case I think renaming it to just "speech-data-collector" is the best solution for this, even though it would have been good to show that this is a Wikispeech tool, but I guess we have to choose the best solution even if it's not perfect
Or, we can just keep wikispeech-sdc for now, and name the other tool when we have decided what is the best!
We decided that this only cover the test instance. The demo instance will be created as part of T428715: The user wants to test the tool without having an account.
