Allow Wikifunctions-generated links to non-Wikimedia sites in general Wikifunctions output
Open, Needs TriagePublicFeature

Description

A separate task as requested at T423180.

Feature summary:
Extend T423180 so that (spam-protected) external links can be produced in non-superscripted HTML output. Just remove the restriction to superscripts. If it still needs to be wrapped in a special external link class, that would be reasonable.

A partial test is that this result should render on Wikifunctions.

Use case(s):
As mentioned in the previous task, there are plenty of cases where Wikipedia editors use links in non-superscript text. E.g. Authority Control boxes, or External Links sections. We should be able to reproduce this kind of freedom in AW. The limitation to fields is unwarranted in my view, especially since we don't have true "references" yet.

Benefits:
More freedom for AW editors to make it more excellent.

A link that's not inside a reference DOM structure is just a link.
