If you are curious and want to try making this change yourself, this would require adding a line in the file /resources/src/mediawiki.language.specialCharacters/specialcharacters.json in the code repository mediawiki/core in Gerrit.

@Arjunaraoc @Zaidusyy Thank you for the suggestion and the patch. Can you please confirm what would be the right place to put this character in the list? I see that the proposed patch places it between "వ" and "శ", and knowing no Telugu myself, I'm finding it difficult to review the patch without some explanation :) Thanks.

It is better to place it just before the Telugu numeral zero '౦' (U+0C66).

I've updated the patch and moved U+0C5D (TELUGU LETTER NAKAARA POLLU) to immediately before the Telugu digit zero (U+0C66), following @Arjunaraoc suggestion
