Closed, ResolvedPublicRequest

Description

I just need a form with the following text:

Title: New Scroll Request for: <component>

Create a new Phabricator task tagged ServiceOps, using the block below, replace placeholders, and delete this line. Questions about the SCROLL process or this request? Join the #production-readiness-channel on slack. Please carefully read the SCROLL Guide, before filing this:)

Hey ServiceOps,

We would like to kick off the SCROLL process for our <Component Name> and request a Scroll Bearer. We will sort out the details together in the Prologue: which checklist items apply, firm target dates, and who owns what.

Thanks!

SCROLL: <ServiceName>

Scroll Bearer: <assigned by SRE before the Prologue>
  • Component type: <one of: ⚙️ Service / 🧩 Extension / 🌻 Core feature / ✨ Feature>
  • What it does: <one or two sentences: what the component does and who it serves>
  • Development Owner: <#team that owns and develops the component>
  • Phabricator tags: <#tags people should use to reach the team>
  • Technologies: <eg. python, redis, kafka>
  • Design or RFC: <link to the design doc or RFC, if any>
  • Rough launch timeframe (some users): <e.g. "end of Q3 FY2526"; This is Chapter 1 in the Guide, firm dates are set during the Prologue>
  • Rough launch timeframe (all users): <e.g. "end of Q4 FY2526"; This is Chapter 2 in the Guide, firm dates are set during the Prologue>
  • Contact Point: <@your handle>
  • Scroll: <optionally, create an empty Scroll from the SCROLL landing page>
  • Wikitech page: <created after the Prologue>
Other useful information and links
  • <anything else the Scroll Bearer should know: related extensions or services, dashboards, prior tasks, links>

Event Timeline

Thanks a lot @Aklapper !

We would need the following 2 changes if possible:

  • In the banner at the top, the name of the channel is #production-readiness-checklist instead of #production-readiness-channel, we could even give the direct link.
  • Could we use the component SCROLL instead of ServiceOps ?

Sure, the Form has been adjusted accordingly.

Tentatively closing for now; please send carrier pigeons if further adjustments are needed.
