The Starter kit MVP has so far been rolled out for testing to at least 20 Wikipedia Administrators for the initial round of feedback T420075 & T428121 . As part of the initial round of feedback we have identified a set of improvements including features, bugs & optimizations ahead of the wider roll out in early August 2026, tentatively 3 August 2026. In Q1, We plan to continue building on the Starter Kit through iterative testing, having it more accessible to more new and small wikis and monitoring the editing activity. Our hypothesis is to monitor and observe whether this approach results driving measurable gains in editing activity improving early-stage Wikipedia growth across the new-to-small Wikipedia lifecycle stage.
