CTRL-X does not remove selected text

Description

Steps:

  1. Go to http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/VisualEditor:Test
  2. Select a word or character
  3. Press CTRL-X or select "Cut" in the context menu
  4. Text is copied, but not removed

It guess many Wikimedia editors use cut-paste to reorder information, so it seems like a rather important feature to have.
