Video same as Itallian but just in Hebrew. Nothing worth recording since it's the same as Itallian.

There is no sharing option. Is this a BrowserStack issue?

@ABorbaWMF For prioritization, it would be help to know: Are the things that are broken unique to the languages
Italian Wikipedia
Catalan Wikipedia
Hebrew Wikipedia ?

Or happening also on other languages (i.e. existing bugs in the App)

Hi there! Following up, are there any updates on this? Thanks.

Is it intentional that clicking on the hero image often opens a completely different image? It looks a bit weird.

❌ AC4: The image can be shared successfully using the iOS share sheet.

@GMikesell-WMF there should be a share option displaying when you tap open an image from Article view. I'm seeing it in your video, so looks OK.

@GMikesell-WMF was this just a single occurence, and only happened on Italian & Catalan? Could you try if sometime similar happens on English (that would help us know if it's a new bug vs existing)?

Hoping to signoff today/tomorrow!

It's a known bug that happens only on certain articles (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T429461) - are you seeing it everywhere or only some places?

@HNordeenWMF
It has the icon but it doesn't have the options to share like Airdrop, message or email as seen in the video below. I'm not sure if this is just a BrowserStack issue or if it's also on the physical device too. I don't have a physical device to check unfortunately.

I don't have an iOS phone, I was just looking at the videos.

@HNordeenWMF To me it seems like it's more a one off on some images. As you seen in the Catalan language, I did come across it again and the last image had issues. That specific image seems to have trouble in both iPad and iPhone as seen in the videos below. English was fine though.

Oh, yes that does look like a browserstack limitation.

Because the Susanna Griso i Raventos image does work on other languages other than Catalan (especially English which uses the exact same image file), it seems it might be related to the change that happened.

When I go to share that image, I see an error: {F96315598}.
@Mazevedo or @Tgr , could this be related to the media provenance then? I am worried since I don't know how many images this could potentially affect

Got it, ok sounds good. I will mark that pass then.

Yeah I'm sure there are other images too since Pedro Porro in my first example with Catalan ,was happening the same way too

I suspect the image is being broken due to the wikidata infobox implementation specifically on Catlan wiki which is appending ?lang=ca to the image <a> tag and seemingly then being treated by other parts of the pipeline as the actual file name.

Which is why the image is broken on cawiki but not italian Wikipedia for the article Pedro Porro which isn't using a wikidata infobox but does use the same image. Or why there are no issues on articles like Cava which doesn't use a wikidata infobox. Looking at other wikidata infobox articles on cawiki seem to share the issue.

I'm surprised that the Module would want manipulate the URL in that manner out of choice. I tested a few other biography wikidata infoboxes and couldn't find another example. What then is happneing is that Mediawiki is interpreting the image URL string as a legitimate part of the image file name and which then is getting getting used elsewhere.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten caught before so I wonder if there is anything maybe has gotten tweaked here that's allowing the url string to remain appended in the <a> tag to be exposed in this way? I'd really like to confirm that this is an issue constrained to cawiki and not other wiki's using wikidata infoboxes.

We don't think the image not loading issue on Catalan we're seeing is related to this change, but rather an existing bug that we'll file and address.

@Tgr and @Krinkle : @Seddon and I are OK with this change scaling now.
