Lead image is inaccessible in landscape mode
Closed, DeclinedPublic1 Estimated Story Points

Description

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open an article with a lead image.
  2. Confirm that the image is visible in portrait mode.
  3. Rotate the device to landscape mode.
  4. Try to access the lead image.

Expected results

The lead image should remain accessible in landscape mode, for example by allowing the user to scroll to it or by providing another visible entry point.

Actual results

In landscape mode, the article starts below the image and the image cannot be reached from the current layout. The user must rotate back to portrait mode to view it again.

This is also a deliberate design choice. In landscape mode, the lead image is not supposed to appear, since it would obscure the start of the text.
