In https://dumps.wikimedia.org/other/pageview_complete/monthly/2022/2022-12/pageviews-202212-user.bz2 (and the other monthly dumps) for 2022-12 , it seems that zh rows are dropped (zh wikipedia but also other projects it seems), while those are available in daily dumps of the same period.

Hi @Effeietsanders, please associate one or more active project tags with this task (via the Add Action... → Change Project Tags dropdown). That will allow to see a task when looking at project workboards or searching for tasks in certain projects, and get notified about a task when watching a related project tag. Thanks!

There are old tasks that identified all the gaps and proposed backfill strategies. This was unfortunately deprioritized in 2021, but I agree with you this is not awesome. I'll push this as part of the data warehouse push this year.
