Feature summary

It might be helpful if all redirects were automatically added to a tracking category. I suggest [[Category: All redirects]] for English/canonical name, but it should be localised to local languages, obviously.

Use case(s)

• Special:ListRedirects is restricted to the first 5,000 entries alphabetically, and is not useful on anything other than small-sized wikis. Categories, however, are not restricted in size.
• It would allow the implementation of {{NUMBEROFREDIRECTS}} as a pseudovariable which can be called with {{PAGESINCATEGORY:All redirects}}.

As a follow-up task it may be worth tracking:

• Soft redirects
• Cross-namespace redirects, as these are "generally prohibited" because they're a bad idea (ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Cross-namespace_redirects)
