Description

translatewiki.net provides translation services for this project. As part of our annual activity audit (T383652), we semi-automatically check whether supported projects are still actively developed.

Our supported projects requirements include:

🛠 Active maintenance: To maximize the impact of our translators' efforts, we require regular availability of translations to users (at least annually, but more frequently is preferred) and integration into your version control system at least once a quarter.

Our audit found that {REPO} has not had an upstream (non-translation) commit in over 12 months. Based on this, we are considering dropping translation support.

If this project is still active, please let us know — we'd love to continue supporting it! A brief update on the project's status and plans would be appreciated.

Yes, this project is still active and being used! This is one of the tools that people can use to query Wikidata and it will be important for us to maintain translation support for it

Thank you for your reply. Can you confirm that updated translations pushed to the repo are also being made available to tool users regularly, i.e. you are deploying the changes? If so, manually, automatically, how often?

We have neglected some of our chores the last few months, but we are making sure that it won't slide again. @karapayneWMDE will have some more info on how often we will be pushing the updated translations

I translated this tool to Azerbaijani 8 days ago but there is still no patch from l10n-bot in wikidata/query-builder repo

For Task Time:

  1. Does query builder deploy automatically or do we need to manually deploy the translation updates?
  2. If automatically, did the chore fix that the missing translations were not being added to query builder?
  3. If manual, do we need to add a deployment to the query builder chore task?

Query builder requires manual deployment, the last of which appears to be March 2024. This was before query builder was migrated to Gitlab.

Please ensure that regular deployments are made. If these are not made within two months of today, we will remove support for the tool from twn.
