Protected page does not show warning messages/login prompt in Visual Editor when opens from the apps

Description

When a user tries to edit a page that is protected or semi-protected, the Visual Editor will not show a message or a login prompt if the user is not logged in.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to Spider-Man: Brand New Day and open VE from the app.
  1. If the user is not logged in, it will be in view-article mode instead of editing mode with locked-pencil icons.

@cooltey: Assuming this task is about the VisualEditor code project, hence adding that project tag so other people who don't know or don't care about team tags can also find this task when searching via projects or looking at workboards. Please set appropriate project tags when possible. Thanks!
