Background

In the Explore Feed onboarding flow, the feed preference screen displays topic pills for selected article preferences.

Currently, topic pills are not appearing for articles that were selected without the user explicitly selecting a specific topic.

Problem

Articles selected during onboarding should always display their associated topic pill on the feed preference screen, regardless of whether the user explicitly selected that topic.

Expected behavior

• Every selected article should display its associated topic pill.
• This should also apply when the article was selected without first selecting a specific topic.
• Topic pills should consistently reflect the topic associated with each selected article.

Acceptance criteria

• Selected articles without an explicitly selected topic display their associated topic pill.
• Selected articles with an explicitly selected topic continue to display their topic pill as expected.
• Topic pills are consistently displayed for all selected articles in the feed preference screen.
