As part of our research endeavour to build personas for our editors, we want to find pre-existing research to contribute to the following:

user personas
- MediaWiki: Personas for Product Development
- Wikidata Usability and Usefulness study: Wikidata advocates in emerging communities
- Commons: Personas (variety of PDF's of different research across Wikiverse)
user journey maps
- New Editor experiences / personas / editing journey (2017)
- Paper: Becoming an online editor: perceived roles and responsibilities of Wikipedia editors (2018)

I'm a fan of this older research, https://gendermag.org/ and the team has also done an a11y exploration, here's a starting point https://arxiv.org/abs/1905.02812 .
