[Chore] 🛠️ Update dependencies in Mismatch Finder
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Update dependencies in Mismatch Finder.

In the README you can find guidelines on how to update the dependencies.

If there are any issues, create a subtask.

If there are open dependabot PRs then either merge them, or close them, or create a task if they need more work and comment the Phabricator Task-ID there.

A/C

  • All in-scope npm dependencies are updated.
  • All in-scope Composer dependencies are updated without upgrading Laravel to a new major version.
  • GitHub Actions dependencies are updated.
  • Existing Dependabot PRs are merged, closed as superseded, or linked to a follow-up Phabricator task.
  • Dependencies requiring substantial migration work are documented in linked follow-up tasks.
  • sail npm run test, sail dusk, and sail artisan test pass.
  • The dependency changes are merged into development.
  • latest changes are deployed
  • details on how deployments happen are added to https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tool:Wikidata_Mismatch_Finder

Event Timeline

Comment from @Lucas_Werkmeister_WMDE during the task time:
We might need another task for updating the PHP7.3 version as well.

It's no longer possible to run browser tests on github's ci without updating laravel. All dependency updates are blocked until this happens. I've filed T436831: [EPIC] Wikidata Mismatch Finder: update Laravel to a currently supported version to cover this work
