Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

Since several days, I cannot export from french Wikisource.

What happens?:
Error message :
//Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Apache/2.4.68 (Debian) Server at ws-export.wmcloud.org Port 80//

What should have happened instead?:

Software version (on Special:Version page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):

For more information, I tryied to export in "pdf", but the result is the same for "epub"

What book is this for?

The problem is for all books... If you want an example, you can take in one :

This EPUB export works for me: https://ws-export.wmcloud.org/?lang=fr&page=Monsieur_chasse_!

Are you getting an error with that? Are you exporting to EPUB v2? That is as likely to fail as PDFs are; see T431640.

That's a known issue. I've merged into that task. Sorry it's not working at the moment. You can convert to PDF locally with Calibre.

Yes sure! Sorry. The tool uses a command like the following to produce an A4 PDF:

ebook-convert Input_book.epub Output_book.pdf --page-breaks-before --paper-size=a4 --pdf-page-margin-bottom 48 --pdf-page-margin-top 60 --pdf-page-margin-left 36 --pdf-page-margin-right 36 --pdf-page-numbers --preserve-cover-aspect-ratio

You can get the same results via the Calibre user interface.

Actually, most of those options can be left out, they're the defaults (not the margin or the page-breaks-before but they don't matter that much).

How can I help to solve such issue?

EDIT: I get "Proxy Error" if I try an export to TXT, RTF and PDF
