Background & problem:
Many of the main organizers we have in the Wikimedia movement organize more than one event, sometimes dozens of events following the same logic and structure. Currently, when that's the case, they need to create the same page using the Event Registration header several times. This is a rather repetitive process.
With more communities and organizers adopting the CampaignEvents feature, this problem will become even more frequent.
Proposed change:
Allow organizers to check a box in which they could replicate the same event, with slightly different changes (title, time, day, location, etc), several times – and eventually connect it with a campaign (see T385342 and T434017).
Alternatively, this could also be a separate feature, in which they add a link to an event they want to copy from, from their own campaign or another campaign. This option would allow copying from other events, which is something typical among Wikimedians, by the collaborative nature of the projects.
This can be inspired by the Program & Events Dashboard features:
https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/copy_course.
Use cases:
@Tania_Sola, from Wikimedia Mexico, creates several events for #JuevesWiki, which is a weekly campaign (example here).
Benefits:
This would allow organizers to save time accomplishing a repetitive task and let them focus on the most important parts of the event.
This would also be beneficial for huge events/campaigns using a campaign/program structure that aggregates events (T385342 and T434017).
