as a user in mw.testKitchen.overrideExperimentGroup('de-1-3-1-specialhomepage-onboarding-ab-test', 'treatment'); go to Special:Homepage on mobile
the icon for interests selection on Daily reads will be place in the middle of the Daily reads header section:

What was shared in 1:1, we will approach this with changing the DOM position of the header select button.
Another idea quickly evaluated was further convergence of mobile/desktop markup, but it is too complex and a ReadingRecommendations module proximity solution doesn't provide enough.
