Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
- Start uploading a file to Commons using the Upload Wizard
- Get to the "Describe" step.
- Go to the "Caption" field in the form.
- Click "English" in the "dropdown" for selecting the caption language.
- Type "waale" in the search box.
What happens?:
The "waale" language doesn't appear in the results.
Languages with similar names do appear, but not this one.
What should have happened instead?:
The language with the native label "waale" is supposed to appear.
It does work when using the ULS for selecting the general site user interface language at the top of the screen:
