[User Story US-5] Discover: Reading List screen
Open, HighPublic8 Estimated Story Points

Description

User Story

  • As an iOS app user who has just completed my onboarding of the new Discover reading list feature
  • I want to immediately be taken to my first recommended reading list
  • So that I can understand what the feature is and start reading my first set of recommended articles

Where in the flow: Once a user has completed their onboarding set up of the Discover recommended reading list feature and has either opted in or out of receiving notifications about the reading list

Acceptance criteria

  • The Discover reading list screen will feature an image related to their latest reading list (where an image is available within the set of articles)
  • Underneath the image we will feature the following:
  • Screen title: Discover
  • Screen copy:
  • ‘W Made for you’ when a user is logged out (with the ‘W’ being the Wikipedia icon next to plain text)
  • 'W Made for <user's name> when a user is logged in (with the ‘W’ being the Wikipedia icon next to plain text)
  • ‘X-articles’ - indicating the number of articles that are in the user’s reading list (eg. 5 articles)
  • ‘Your weekly collection. Learn about new topics, picked just for you. Updates at the beginning of the week.’
  • (NB: If the user changes their preference and selects to receive their reading list ‘Daily’ the copy will need to change to: ‘Your daily collection. Learn about new topics, picked just for you. Updates each day.’)
  • (NB: If the user changes their preference and selects to receive their reading list ‘Monthly’ the copy will need to change to: ‘Your monthly collection. Learn about new topics, picked just for you. Updates at the beginning of each month.’)
  • The screen will feature two action buttons - Save and More (see US-6: Discover action buttons)
  • Underneath the action buttons will be a list view of the articles within the user’s discover reading list collection
  • Each article is stacked one above the other and features the article title and article description
  • The default discover reading list behaviour will be that it is created weekly, and comprises of 5 articles
  • The user will have the option of amending the frequency by which they receive the list, and how many articles form part of their reading list collection

Out of scope

  • TBD if we keep the Discover collection weekly and descope the changes to make it daily or monthly for a first release?
