This milestone lets a user start from an NLG Function and create a language-specific Function for their language on one page, with its first implementation and tests. It does not put the new Function into use; that is Milestone 2. It is done when a user can do this on Wikifunctions for the reference example, and the new Function is listed on the NLG Function's page.
This milestone is provisional: we rewrite it to match the decision in T440035. See the parent task for the terminology used here.
Acceptance criteria
- On Wikifunctions, starting from "defining role sentence (HTML)", a user creates a language-specific Function for a new language on one page, with no ZIDs and no argument types, counts or order typed by hand.
- In the same flow, the user saves a first implementation and a first test for it.
- The NLG Function's page lists the new Function as not registered, with a link to add tests, and another user can add a test from there.
Not in this milestone
- Registration, and any use of the new Function in articles: Milestone 2.
- An overview of the languages that are missing for an NLG Function: Milestone 4.
- Creation for many languages at once: one language at a time matches how pilot communities work.
- Changes to the signature of an existing language-specific Function.
