Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
In the Wikisource Page namespace :
- find a page with a footnote that starts on page N and continues on page N+1
- use <ref name=pageN>...</ref> on page N and <ref follow=pageN>...</ref> somewhere on page N+1 (e.g. at the end of the page)
- see the result in Page namespace and in a tranclusion
What happens?:
- In the transclusion, at least in the French Wikisource, the footnote is referenced both on page N (which is normal) and on page N+1 (which is not). (There may be only one reference when the footnote wikicode was included at the end of page N and at the beginning of page N+1.)
- In the Page namespace, a footnote reference is visible in page N+1, which is incorrect. I saw this both in English and French Wikisources (examples above).
What should have happened instead?:
The footnote should be referenced only once, on page N in transclusions. There should be no reference to the footnote on page N+1 (whether in a transclusion or in the Page namespace).
This is probably yet another Parsoid bug since it does not appear with ?useparsoid=0.
