It will be very useful to have a space at the top of all course pages that can be edited by users, so that it can be updated as needed to point to the most critical pages and features, or included information intended for all users of course pages.

Course pages should include a transcluded mediawiki page at the top in place of the current menu of links to extension-related special pages.
