Vector: Issues related to narrow window size, low resolution (tracking)
Open, NormalPublic

Description

Vector breaks down on small resolutions. It's already pretty ugly on ~800px width, and at ~600 things start overlapping etc.

This is mostly a tracking bug for me to keep things in order.

can anyone give more information of this issue?

@Aklapper is the above report does the word 'vector breakdown' mean that does anything overlaps in the smaller screens of width such as ~800 px or ~600 px ?

Indeed. "break down" means "does not work well" in this context.

@Aklapper can you reproduce the issue and paste the screenshot here? and even is there any method to see the correction if I made a change in the localhost as this is only in few kind of resolutions? in last message you said breakdown mean it does not work well but in which context such as if the buttons overlap or if any other things mismatch ?

can you reproduce the issue and paste the screenshot here?

@Rammanojpotla: I could but I don't understand why. Do you not manage to reproduce? If so, please say so, and explain what you've tried. Most browsers (and their developer tools) nowadays allow resizing their window...

and even is there any method to see the correction if I made a change in the localhost as this is only in few kind of resolutions?

You resize your browser window. :)

I have find it in the resolution of almost 500x700

If it is the above case I think this is caused due to th overlap of right and left divisions

@Aklapper I have made edit , read and *(star) collapsible into the more option when the width is less so that there would be no overlapping between them and had to set the other options such as the links Log out and the other links had to be modified such that they are not to be overlapped I mean they can be placed below the name of the user logged in so that it doesn't occupy any content Am I right? but I could find the links such as logout etc overlappings are done only if anyone is logged in am I right?

I guess you need to find out yourself, and T56919 might have also some knowledge (as this task T46386 is just a "generic" task about any issues related to a narrow window size). :) If you think you have some code changes that welcome a review, see the Gerrit Tutorial how to upload a diff to Gerrit for reviewing your proposed code changes. Thanks for working on this!
