Yet, I think this behavior is better than current one, at least on Wikimedia wikis. Currently we have both inconsistency and never-add-space behavior. I would prefer inconsistency with always-add-space behavior… Of course, having a consistent behavior for the whole list is the best solution, so I trust you about required time depending on chosen solution.
