Previous description:

We should run another Tech Talk about Phabricator around December, to document and communicate the experience accumulated by the first wave of teams using Phabricator as project management tool.

Draft description:

Phabricator is a collaboration platform open to all Wikimedians. We focus on bug reporting and software projects. Non-technical initiatives are welcome as well. Did you know that the first reason why we chose Phabricator was to serve as project management tool? Wikimedians use/used a variety of tools for project management: Trello, Mingle, Scrumbugz, Bugzilla, Asana, Google Docs, and of course wiki pages too. In this demo-based session we will explain how to organize your work with Phabricator at a project level, team level, and individual level. How to set projects, priorities, and tags, how to manage workboards and dashboards, how to organize sprints...

@Rfarrand is proposing December 2nd. That could work, although we have the weekly ECT meeting, and I also have my regular 1:1s with Rachel and Rob. Maybe Wednesday, Dec 3 is better for a time acceptable for Asians and Americans?

Whatever works for you; I should be flexible (except for Friday Dec 5 when I might be on a plane).

If possible please do it sometime when I'm around :) Any of these days sound good so far.

This is coming up sooner than you know! Quim/Andre: May I please have a title and summary to send out?
All of the main conference rooms are full 12/3 in morning in SF. I am checking on one. Otherwise we will need to use the collab space (possibly disruptive in the morning), or maybe a smaller room. Will update soon! :)

It would be interesting to know how many people in the office has an intention to attend in the SF office. In theory, it is a topic affecting most developers and PMs. In practice... who knows. :)

I will send the description.

@Rfarrand, I had forgotten that I created this task with a draft description already -- that can be used to announce the tech talk.

Oh perfect, I will start looking for a date and time with a free conference room.

This talk will happen on Thu, December 12th, 18:00UTC (room R66 & Hangout/Youtube).

@Christopher, do you want to join us and introduce the Sprint app?

OK. I will be there. I can only join via IRC, though. Tomorrow night is our Christmas party and I will be remote on a 3G connection.

I will be glad to answer any questions about how it works. I can also talk about the possibilities that it enables for local modifications of Phabricator "prime" (and how or if it may function as a prototype for future custom extension implementations).

@Christopher, we decided to do the Sprint part in another session, in a few weeks, whenever you are available via hangout. Questions on IRC and replies via hangout can work well, but the other way around less so.

@Rfarrand can follow up with you to schedule another Tech Talk when there is a slot and suits you best. We could a session combined with Diffusion, with @chad and @Jdforrester-WMF... The two new big cool features landing in Phabricator.
