VisualEditor: Does not load on pages with titles starting with a full stop (period)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

At least in Firefox 24 on Linux (not tested in other systems) VisualEditor does not load on main namespace pages whose titles begin with a full stop (period). The URL changes and the page reloads but remains in view mode.

Tested at [[.mp]], [[.uk]], [[.300]] and [[.300 Remington American Magnum]] at en.wp and at the .uk articles at it.wp, de.wp, fr.wp and es.wp

The bug does not manifest in other namespaces, e.g. [[User:Thryduulf/.100]] and [[User:.anaconda]] load correctly.

We fixed this just this week (this is bug 38081), and will be deploying it to on Thursday (10 October); assuming that all goes well, it will hit the English Wikipedia next Thursday (17 October).

Column Prototype
This is a very early prototype of a persistent column. It is not expected to work yet, and leaving it open will activate other new features which will break things. Press "\" (backslash) on your keyboard to close it now.
