Let MeetBot logs be indexed and archived
Closed, ResolvedPublicFeature

Description

Currently all crawling is disabled; it's probably just some stupid default value, I can't imagine any reason why (it's all public logs, loading some static HTML can't kill a server).
Considering that labs services must not be relied on, at the very least you should whitelist the Wayback machine https://archive.org/about/exclude.php . I don't know if empty disallow or Allow: / is best.

We might had a Meetbot instance originally setup in the integration project, that is why the link refers to : http://integration-meetbot.instance-proxy.wmflabs.org/ . That has long been moved to toolforge.

The bot is now at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tool:Meetbot

Logs can be found at https://meetbot.toolforge.org/ and it looks like they can be crawled from there.

I think I had explored Meetbot to capture online meetings notes. The context was adopting a decision system similar to the IETF RFC process, that has lead to forming the Wikimedia Technical Committee. That was the primary, if not sole, user of MeetBot. Since the committee has been disbanded, Meetbot is no more used, the minutes in the tool was in November 2020.

Note the tool generated a .wiki output which was then posted on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Technical_Committee/Minutes . There are some minutes posted there after the last one from https://meetbot.toolforge.org/wikimedia-office/2020/ . Maybe they moved to another system.
