Change saved prefs box to generic PostEdit notify
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

I propose to change the saved 'Your preferences have been saved.' green box to generic PostEdit notify. It appears more logical and user-friendly to me. If this method has proven to be, why not implement it here. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:PostEdit for design details.

-1 to the idea. I find PostEdit irritating and as such, I've chosen to hide it in my browser-side CSS file, as there intentionally isn't a preference to turn it off. What's wrong with the current green, clear, informative "success" box?

I see, but that's only your opinion. This feature have been successfully introduced in all Wikimedia projects and most users don't complain. We just don't need two different ways to inform users about changes they made on wiki. As I've said: If this method has proven to be, why not implement it here.
