Steps to reproduce:

1.Open a page with VE
2.Select a text for example: "link with wikitext"
3.Press command+k to apply link on it
4.Without adding anything just close the inspector.
5.Save the page.
6.Reopen the page in VE

Observed Result:
The wikitext for the link is appearing in Read mode and in VE

Test Environment: http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/
Browser: Chrome Version 26.0.1410.65 & FF 25
OS: MAC OS X 10. 8. 5
