This has been briefly discussed on irc. https://github.com/elasticsearch/puppet-logstashforwarder could probably be used to ship the logs.

Bryan change has been applied on the beta cluster and centralize puppet logs of all instances on https://logstash-beta.wmflabs.org/ .

The change is pending ops approval / merge.

Stuck waiting for merge in operations/puppet.git.
