VisualEditor: "Use an Existing Reference" button becomes disabled for the current session once user inputs an invalid search term for searching existing references

Description

Invalid input

Steps to reproduce:

1.Open a page with VE which has multiple references
2.Go to Insert>Reference>Use an existing reference
3.Now input something in the search box which will have no search result
4.Now cross out the dialog box
5.Again go to Insert>Reference

Observed Result:
The "Use an existing reference" button is disabled and it does not become enabled for the rest of the session unless user cancels the edit and reopen the page again with VE
