Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to en.wp's Main Page
2. Click on the day's main page featured article
3. After the page loads, click on the first image that you see
4. After the image loads, click back
5. You are returned to the previous page (expected behavior)
6. Click back again, and nothing happens (expected behavior: return to main page)

You can still access your previous history by right clicking on the back tab.
