Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Do you, the guys at the Wikimedia Foundation, plan on allowing users to link their Phabricator accounts to external accounts originating from sites other than those of the WMF, like Google, Twitter, etc., …?

Hi. In general, open questions are better suited for https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Phabricator/Help
To answer your questions, currently we do not. Also see https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_policy

Also, Wikimedia not WIkiMedia.

this question is probably a good candidate to have in a faq type document as I'm sure it will come up again

Or we can merge them with T16, where this discussion took place and where links to other specific requests like GitHub can be found.

OK, then; I've fixed it in the task description.

So I should link to this task from there?

Which section?

Oh, wait; first, Aklapper closed this task, and, then, Ogil merged it with T16. So maybe it would be better to link to that task from https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Phabricator/Help…or maybe it wouldn't since that's a much bigger discussion? What to do, what to do…

I myself am not sure whether I'd want to cover this on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Phabricator/Help simply because it has not been a popular question so far... plus as written above, T16 is now the place to discuss auth - this task is closed as a duplicate. :)
