For me, previous (old) pages, created by Access control panel Groups disapears.

WikiName.org/wiki/ProtectedGroupName:PageName

become

WikiName.org/wiki/:PageName

if I create a page with this content : #REDIRECT[[ProtectedGroupName:PageName]], the page is visible. (And already protected)..
