Cirrus Search not offer suggestions for missed diacritic letters
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

No suggestion

Since Cirrus Search was enabled on ro.wikipedia, when typing terms in search box, search engine does not give suggestions if my searched term coincide all but diacritics. Cirrus Search does not match standard letters and variable diacritcs from them as possible user's searched variant. To understand better this issue I attach 2 screenshots with searched terms and floating list of suggestions.

On rowiki we have article titled « KF Shkëndija »
If i search for KF Shkendija, with simple ”e” instead of ”ë”, then Cirrus does not offer me this title as suggestion for possible searched term.
But this is very useful thing, because it saves a lot of time for all people, and especially for editors who search titles just for pasting them in articles at which works at that moment.
