It would appear there is no Amazon S3 integration for MediaWiki available that actually works. It would be great to have this for many people and I think it's something that would make the system itself a lot more attractive.

Which extensions did you try, what were issues, and what is specifically needed to "integrate" MediaWiki with Amazon S3?

Unfortunately, I stopped actively developing this extension because it was taking up too much of my time, so I don't know exactly how much of a working state it is in, but bug reports are welcome.

Sorry. If you try out the extension, it *might* actually work. And if not, you can report any bugs and I'll try and find some time to fix them, but no guarantees.

It's basically this error: "Could not create directory mwstore://localS3/public" when you try to upload.

And what are the file permissions of that folder?
Closing as resolved, as Extension:AWS works with latest MediaWiki and is covered by automatic tests.
